Description

Dessiese name- Draco Lutrinae Porphyria (type A), or "The Affliction type A". Can also be called "Self- Mutilation Disease" and "Zombie Influenza"

Mutations- Tusks coming from bottom jaw, extra eye teeth in mouth, Ears have been replaced with Vibration detecting entente, Multiple eye growths around the face/head, crook in back, extremely long "killer claws" on fore paws.

Mutilated area's- Original eyes, nose/mouth, ears, tail, and hind toes.

Other area's affected- Shoulder's (they seem more muscular than before), Chest, and Stomach (becomes extremely emaciated and can't gain weight no matter how much they eat).

Description- Draco Lutrinae Porphyria (or DLP) is passed through bodily fluids (ex. Blood, saliva, mucus, etc.) though it can also be passed generation to generation (this can cause dilution of the gene). The origin of this disease is relatively unknown because it originated in Sinner Demons (the Otter Dragon ancestor). This means it could originate from another disease or it could have come from some-other unknown place or being.

Stages-
The first stage of DLP is Hallucinations. They can be visual and addable, and in some cases, phantosmia (hallucination of smells). This lasts till the second or third stage. Because Otter Dragons are naturally insane, this makes it hard for the first stage to be detected.
The second stage is slow to come. This stage starts with an itch near the base of the tail that slowly (not too slowly though because this progresses over only 12 hours) goes to the tip. After reaching the tip of the tail the area the itch first started, becomes extremely sensitive to touch and is irritated easily causing the Otter Dragon to pull out the fur and start scratching at it.
The third stage is quick to follow after the second stage, leading some to beleave it's still a part of the second stage. This stage starts with the end of the hallucinations, and the beginning of the mutilation process though the Otter Dragon clawing and biting at the skin where the itch started on the tail. Eventually the Otter Dragon rips off it's own tail.
Stage four is like stage two and three but quicker and with the hind toes, mouth/nose, ears, and original eyes.
Stage five is the growth of the antennae in place of the ears. This stage takes place over a week and over laps with stages 6, 7, and 8.
Stage six is the growth of the tusks and multiple extra eye teeth witch are longer and sharper than the originals.
Stage seven is the growth of the "Killer Claws" on the fore paws, and the elongation of the fore legs. Because the claws are longer and more curved than the normal claws, the Otter dragon has to walk on its knuckles instead of on it's palms/pads.
Stage eight is the development and opening of the multiple eyes on the face/head. each eye has a partner on the other side of the head (unless the eye is in the middle of the forehead, nassile cavity, or between the ears). Each pair can look in seperate directions of the other pairs, but, each pair has different types of vision impairments. The best pairs will only be color blind to certain colors. The worst pairs will only see light and dark, no shapes, no colors, not ever blurs.
Stage nine is The last stage. In this stage, the originally docile Otter Dragon becomes completely driven by hunger and rage, causing it to attack any thing it can pick up on with any of it's senses.

Those that can become infected- Otter Dragons and Sinner Demons. This disease WILL NOT infect demon/Otter Dragon crosses or Other breeds of dragon/ Otter Dragon hybrids, as long as they have less than 45% Otter dragon DNA. This Disease CAN, however, infect Anthro/Otter Dragon and Human/Otter Dragon hybrids with as little as 15% Otter Dragon DNA. As for any Sinner Demon crosses, ALL can become infected unless it's a Otter Dragon/Sinner Demon Hybrid, why this Hybrid can't get infected is a mystery, but it might have something to do with the gene that causes the Otter Dragon to be insane.

Holy crap that took too long to write.
This is the first of three or four Versions or types of this Disease that can cause extreme mutations and Mutilation in Otter Dragons and Sinner Demons.
I hope you enjoy.
